Bhopal, July 12 (NationPress) - In a significant employment drive under the Rozgar Mela initiative, more than 51,000 young individuals throughout India received their appointment letters on Saturday. In Madhya Pradesh, Rozgar Melas were held in Bhopal and Jabalpur, where newly appointed candidates shared their joy and appreciation upon receiving their job letters.
At the Jabalpur event, appointment letters were given out during the local employment fair. Recipients were seated alongside officials, including Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Kamal Kumar Talreja, who supervised the event. This gathering was part of the nationwide Pradhan Mantri Rozgar Mela campaign, which distributed over 51,000 appointment letters on July 12, 2025.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually distributed the appointment letters around 11 a.m. via video conferencing, addressing and congratulating the newly appointed youth across various government sectors. During his speech, he reiterated the government’s dedication to job creation and nation-building, highlighting that Rozgar Melas are a vital step in empowering youth by providing substantial opportunities.
The Rozgar Mela initiative reflects the Prime Minister’s commitment to generating employment and has facilitated the distribution of over 1 million appointment letters across the nation. The 16th edition of the Rozgar Mela occurred simultaneously at 47 locations nationwide, with recruits joining various ministries and departments, including the Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Posts, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Department of Financial Services, and the Ministry of Labour and Employment.
On the West Central Railway alone, 356 newly appointed young individuals received their appointment letters on Saturday. Out of these, 102 recruits hailed from the Jabalpur Division, while 254 were from the Bhopal Division.
DRM Kamal Kumar Talreja expressed his satisfaction with the event, stating it was well-organized and received enthusiastic participation.
“This scheme under PM Modi’s leadership is immensely beneficial for the youth,” Talreja remarked.
“It was organized at two locations in Madhya Pradesh - Jabalpur and Bhopal - and the youth were very excited upon receiving their appointment letters.”
Many appointees shared their happiness and gratitude.
One participant stated, “I have been selected for the fourth time. Under PM Modi’s leadership, people are benefiting from numerous schemes.” Another added, “I feel fantastic. We finally secured jobs. I am incredibly thankful to PM Modi for this opportunity.”
Meanwhile, in Bhopal, a Rozgar Mela also took place with Prime Minister Modi joining virtually to congratulate and address the newly appointed employees. The event was attended by Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, BJP leader Vishwas Sarang, and Krishna Gaur. In Bhopal, appointment letters were distributed to 51 recruits from across the state.
Appointees in Bhopal expressed their happiness and relief at securing government jobs.
One recruit mentioned, “I am thrilled to have gotten a job in Indian Railways. This is significant as it represents a stable job.”
Another individual, Prachi, stated, “I am delighted to have received the job. It will benefit my family. I want to express my gratitude to PM Modi for this.”
