Mumbai, Jan 17 (NationPress) The Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan is on the mend from his knife injuries, while fresh revelations are emerging simultaneously. The Mumbai police have discovered an ancient sword at the actor's residence located in the Bandra district of Mumbai.

The authorities retrieved the old sword from Saif's home, and it remains uncertain whether it belongs to his ancestral heritage. As a descendant of Nawabs, Saif possesses numerous antique treasures, including the renowned Pataudi Palace in Haryana.

Reports indicate that Saif was attacked with a 2.5-inch knife by an assailant who entered his home through his youngest son Jeh's room.

According to media accounts, doctors successfully extracted the 2.5-inch blade from his injury. After undergoing surgery, the actor has been moved to the ICU and is reported to be stable.

During the early hours of Thursday, Saif was stabbed multiple times while attempting to fend off a burglar. He suffered six stab wounds, two of which are particularly serious as they are located near his spine. The incident unfolded at 2:15 am when the burglar reportedly broke into their residence in Bandra, attacking their housekeeper first before turning on Saif when he intervened.

At the time of the attack, his wife Kareena Kapoor Khan and other family members were asleep at home. Saif was awakened by the disturbance in his son Jeh's room.

Upon entering the room, he witnessed the intruder in a confrontation with the house help, prompting Saif to step in and defend the housekeeper using only his hands.

Currently, the actor is reported to be stable and recuperating well.
