Mumbai, Jan 20 (NationPress) Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan, who is in the process of healing following a knife assault, is unlikely to be released from the hospital on Monday.
The medical team has opted to keep the actor under observation for an additional day. Sources indicate that he is expected to be discharged either on Tuesday or Wednesday.
Saif was attacked multiple times while attempting to thwart a burglar in the early hours of Thursday. He suffered six stab wounds, with two being particularly severe as they are located near his spine. The incident occurred at 2:15 am when the burglar reportedly broke into their residence in Bandra, assaulted their house staff, and then attacked Saif when he intervened.
The actor was alerted by the disturbance in his son Jeh’s room. He entered to find the intruder in a confrontation with their house help; witnessing this, Saif bravely intervened to protect the staff using only his hands.
The Mumbai police have apprehended the suspect in Thane, revealing that he is a Bangladeshi national who entered India illegally.
