Mumbai, Jan 16 (NationPress) The team representing Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has released an official statement confirming an attempted burglary at his residence and noted that he is currently undergoing surgery.

“An attempted burglary took place at Mr. Saif Ali Khan's home. He is presently hospitalized for surgery. We kindly ask the media and fans for their patience during this time, as this is a matter for the police,” the statement from the actor's team read.

A source revealed that Saif engaged in a struggle with the intruder without any weapon, aiming to protect his family. This confrontation occurred late at night, and despite the intruder being armed, Saif managed to defend his loved ones, resulting in his injury.

On January 16, Saif suffered injuries after being attacked with a knife during the incident at his home, which was reported to have taken place around 4 AM.

During the theft, the intruder assaulted Saif with a knife, but fortunately, the injury was not severe, as it was a cut to his back.
