Patna, Oct 24 (NationPress) Union Home Minister Amit Shah fiercely criticized RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) during a significant public meeting in Siwan, alleging that the opposition aims to reinstate the “jungle raj” era in Bihar.

Shah emphasized his visit to Siwan, recognizing the district's historical and political importance.

“Lalu Yadav has demonstrated his intentions by granting a ticket to Shahabuddin’s son, indicating his desire to revive the jungle raj in Bihar. The residents of Siwan are well aware of the bloodshed instigated by Shahabuddin, who was responsible for 75 brutal murders. By nominating his son, Lalu Yadav seeks to instill fear once more. This is a clear indication that the Mahagathbandhan aims to plunge Bihar back into the abyss of lawlessness, while the NDA, by nominating Anand Mishra (Retired IPS), is steering the state towards effective governance,” Shah remarked.

He proclaimed that the NDA, under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, will reclaim the government in Bihar after the elections on November 14.

“On November 14, Lalu Prasad’s son will face a total defeat. Nitish Kumar has set Bihar back on the right path, and for the past decade, Narendra Modi has tirelessly worked to enhance the lives of the people of Bihar,” he stated.

Shah recounted the fears that once engulfed Siwan under Shahabuddin’s dominance, illustrating the hardships endured during the Lalu-Rabri regime.

“The residents of Siwan faced immense suffering during the jungle raj but stood resilient. They once brought an end to that dark era, and today I assure them — this is Modi and Nitish’s Bihar. Even if a hundred Shahabuddins arise, they cannot harm anyone now,” Shah asserted.

“You’ve just celebrated Diwali, and soon you’ll observe Chhath Puja, but the true Diwali will occur on November 14, when Lalu’s son is decisively defeated.”

Praising Nitish Kumar’s contributions, he added, “Ending jungle raj is Nitish Kumar’s most significant achievement. He liberated Bihar from fear and lawlessness.”

Highlighting differences between the BJP-led central government and previous regimes, Shah stated, “While Sonia and Lalu governed at the Centre, terrorists were treated generously. However, after the attack on Pahalgam by Pakistani terrorists, Modi’s administration executed Operation Sindoor, penetrating Pakistani territory to eliminate them.”

He also called upon Chhathi Maiya (Goddess Chhathi) for blessings regarding Bihar’s peace and development.

“I beseech Chhathi Maiya to ensure that jungle raj never re-emerges here.”

Shah criticized Rahul Gandhi, alleging his leniency towards infiltrators.

“Rahul Gandhi advocates for the acceptance of infiltrators in Bihar. Tell me — should infiltrators remain or be expelled? Upon the NDA’s return to power, we will identify and eliminate every infiltrator from the nation,” he vowed, evoking enthusiastic cheers from the audience.

Paying tribute to Siwan’s rich heritage, Shah remarked, “This land is the birthplace of Rajendra Babu (Dr Rajendra Prasad), India’s inaugural President and Chairman of the Constituent Assembly. Mahatma Gandhi and Madan Mohan Malaviya also passed through Siwan during their Champaran journey. I bow to this revered soil.”

In concluding his address, the Home Minister enumerated several alleged scams during Lalu Prasad Yadav’s rule, including the Rs 940 crore fodder scam, land-for-jobs scam, railway hotel scam, tar scam, flood relief scam, BPSC recruitment scam, and AB Export benami property scam.

“Lalu Prasad has perpetually engaged in scams and corruption throughout his life. Can someone who has plundered Bihar in so many ways ever serve this state well?” Shah questioned.
