Thrissur, June 7 (NationPress) Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko, who suffered injuries when his vehicle collided with a lorry in Dharmapuri, Tamil Nadu, is set to have surgery on his left hand, as informed by his medical team.
During a press briefing on Saturday, medical professionals from a private hospital in Thrissur announced that the procedure is scheduled to occur shortly after the funeral of Chacko's father on Monday.
According to Sujoy, the orthopedic surgeon treating him, "The actor has sustained multiple fractures in his left humerus, a vertebra issue in his spine, and several body concussions."
"All his vital signs are stable. Upon discussing the necessity of surgery with him, he expressed that since his father also died in the car crash, the funeral is planned for Monday," Sujoy noted.
His mother, who also sustained injuries, is in stable condition but has experienced hip damage and a minor head injury, necessitating rest.
Chacko inquired about when he could return to shooting. The medical team advised that he will require a six-week period of rest and rehabilitation following surgery. He may be able to engage in light shooting activities after this time; however, action scenes will necessitate a three-month wait, according to Sujoy.
