Kochi, April 22 (NationPress) Troubled actor Shine Tom Chacko, currently out on bail following his arrest for drug use, received a final warning from FEFKA officials on Tuesday, after he expressed a desire to change his ways.

The Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA) serves as the leading organization representing 19 different film-related groups, ranging from directors to crew members.

FEFKA's general secretary, B. Unnikrishnan, spoke with the media, sharing details of their discussion with Chacko, who was joined by his parents.

“During our conversation, Chacko was clearly instructed to overcome his addiction, which has severely impacted not only his life but the industry as a whole. We emphasized that he must seek professional help to break this habit. He requested one last opportunity to correct his actions,” Unnikrishnan noted.

“He is certainly an actor with a great deal of talent, and we made it clear that no further chances would be granted since the industry is currently struggling for various reasons, and this type of conduct is absolutely unacceptable. Thus, one final opportunity has been extended to him,” he added.

Unnikrishnan mentioned that prior to their meeting with Chacko, they consulted with officials from the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) and sought input from Mohanlal.

Notably, on April 19 (Saturday), Chacko, who had been on the run from law enforcement for three days, turned himself in at the North Ernakulam police station. After nearly three hours of questioning, he was arrested under Sections 27 and 29 of the NDPS Act.

As the charges were bailable offenses at the station level, he was released on bail after paying a fine.

A formal case has been lodged against him.

During questioning, Chacko reportedly confessed to drug use after being confronted with digital evidence, such as phone records and video footage of his alleged involvement in rave parties in and around Kochi.

Following his confession, police documented his arrest and conducted a routine medical examination.

An anti-doping test was also performed, with results pending.

This is not Chacko's first encounter with drug-related accusations.

In February, he was acquitted along with four female models in a cocaine case from 2015 after the prosecution was unable to substantiate the allegations.

The recent scandal escalated last week when Chacko reportedly fled during a police raid connected to drug use.

The situation intensified after actress Vincy Aloshious accused him of inappropriate behavior during the filming of Soothravakyam last year.
