Hyderabad, Dec 15 (NationPress) A tragic incident unfolded on Monday when a medical student lost her life and her father suffered injuries after being struck by a car while they attempted to cross the street in Hyderabad.
The collision took place near RTC Colony within the jurisdiction of the Hayatnagar police station on the outskirts of the city.
Yamasani Ishwarya (19) and her father were navigating the road when a speeding vehicle collided with them. They were rushed to a private medical facility, where doctors pronounced her dead upon arrival. The body was later transferred to Osmania General Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
Ishwarya's father sustained serious injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment.
The deceased was a second-year MBBS student at the Government Medical College in Mahabubnagar.
Authorities have registered a case and initiated an investigation.
