Gandhinagar, Aug 18 (NationPress) A beautician tragically lost her life after being struck by a speeding BMW in the Sargasan locality, as reported by local authorities on Monday. The driver has been apprehended.
Shanta Ankush Sunar, aged 29, met her demise late Sunday night when the vehicle hit her around 11:30 p.m. while she was attempting to cross the road near Vachani Hospital in Sargasan, according to police reports.
Immediately following the incident, Sunar was found bleeding on the road and succumbed to her injuries while being transported to the hospital by first responders, police stated.
After colliding with the beautician, the 20-year-old driver, identified as Amarbhai Moreshwar, fled the accident scene but was later apprehended by the Infocity police, an official confirmed.
The damaged vehicle was confiscated by law enforcement and taken to the police station.
The driver was also subjected to a medical examination to determine if he was driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, police noted.
