New Delhi, April 15 (NationPress) Tata Motors Ltd, a prominent name in the Indian commercial vehicle sector, proudly announced the production of its 10 lakhth vehicle at the Lucknow facility on Wednesday.

This achievement also signifies 35 years of operations in Uttar Pradesh, as highlighted in the company’s official statement.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed pride in this milestone, stating, "The introduction of 10 lakh trucks and buses from Tata Motors’ Lucknow plant is a testament to the state's capabilities and its talented workforce."

He added, "Our goal is to elevate Uttar Pradesh into a one-trillion-dollar economy, with industries and entrepreneurs playing a crucial role in this transformation. The state provides an encouraging environment for scalable businesses, with access to a vast consumer market, a young and skilled workforce, and excellent connectivity."

Tata Motors’ achievements in Uttar Pradesh illustrate the power of this ecosystem, reinforcing the state's commitment to responsible industrial development, job creation, skill enhancement, and sustainable socio-economic progress, he noted.

The significant vehicle rolled out was a zero-emission electric bus, showcasing the mutual dedication of Uttar Pradesh and Tata Motors to green mobility, in alignment with the state’s net-zero 2070 vision and the company’s net-zero goal of 2045.

On this occasion, Tata Sons Chairman N. Chandrasekaran remarked that the production of the 10 lakh commercial vehicle from the Lucknow facility underscores the strength of the long-standing partnership with Uttar Pradesh.

"For over three decades, this collaboration has exemplified how industries, government, and communities can unite to drive industrial excellence, create jobs, and build large-scale capabilities," he stated.

With the Indian commercial vehicle sector experiencing a rapid shift towards cleaner, smarter, and more efficient mobility solutions, this milestone emphasizes Tata Motors’ leadership in shaping the future of transportation.

The Lucknow facility, established in 1992 and spanning approximately 600 acres, has an annual production capacity exceeding one lakh vehicles and supports more than 8,000 jobs.

It promotes industry-relevant skills through flagship training initiatives and operates as a water-positive facility powered entirely by renewable energy, according to the auto manufacturer.

The plant manufactures a wide array of cargo and passenger commercial vehicles across various powertrains, including next-generation zero-emission electric buses and trucks, as well as fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs).
