Approximately six months ago, the victim relocated from Whitefield with her children, and the accused was reportedly unaware of their location.
However, the accused managed to locate her residence four months ago and moved to Cholurpalya, within the KP Agrahara jurisdiction.
About a week prior, the suspect received a legal divorce notice from his wife.
On Tuesday evening, between 6:30 and 7 p.m., the accused allegedly ambushed Bhuvaneshwari as she returned home from work after an evening stroll.
The suspect reportedly shot his wife with a pistol at close range.
She suffered critical bullet wounds and was rushed to Shanbagh Hospital, where medical personnel pronounced her dead.
Following the incident, the accused walked into the Magadi Road police station, confessed, and turned himself in.
A case has been filed at the Magadi Road police station under Section 103 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
The suspect is now in police custody as investigations continue.
