Bengaluru, June 9 (NationPress) In a disturbing incident reminiscent of the recent Raja Raghuvanshi murder case in Meghalaya, a heartbreaking event unfolded in Bengaluru on Monday. A software engineer brutally stabbed his married mistress 17 times after she struggled to meet him due to her husband's growing suspicions.
The tragic episode took place in an OYO hotel room in Poornaprajna Layout, falling under the jurisdiction of the Subramanyapura police.
The victim has been identified as 36-year-old Harini, while the accused is Yashas, a tech professional.
Police reports indicate that Harini, a mother of two, was involved in an extramarital relationship with Yashas.
Investigations revealed that their relationship began at a fair, where they exchanged contact information and eventually started dating, which led to physical intimacy. However, Harini’s husband grew suspicious, took her phone, and imposed restrictions on her movements.
After months of confinement, Harini managed to reach out to Yashas. The police noted that Yashas, unable to endure the emotional turmoil of separation, became desperate and decided to end her life. They met on June 6 and checked into a hotel.
Reportedly, after their intimate encounter, Yashas repeatedly stabbed her with a knife before fleeing the scene.
The Subramanyapura police have launched an investigation and apprehended Yashas.
He has confessed to the crime, citing Harini’s avoidance as his motive. Further details about the case are pending.
