Bengaluru, April 23 (NationPress) Former BJP National Secretary and Karnataka MLC C.T. Ravi stated on Wednesday that global terrorism is being perpetrated in the name of Islam.

Global terrorism is being executed in the name of Islam, and there is no further need for evidence of its motives. These terrorists did not inquire about your language, caste, or whether you hail from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, or Karnataka. They only questioned your religion. All these individuals were slain solely because they refused to accept Islam. Are those who embraced Islam living in peace?” Ravi expressed to the media in Bengaluru.

He urged the public to recognize the threat to their existence and unite against terrorism.

“There must be zero mercy for terrorists. They must be eradicated without hesitation. Historically, figures like Muhammad Ghazni, Ghori, Khilji, Aurangzeb, and Tipu Sultan exploited political power to instill fear, leading to mass killings and forced conversions,” he remarked.

He noted that while security forces may locate and eliminate the four terrorists responsible for this attack, will that truly end terrorism?

“New entities and faces will continue to emerge like Raktabeejasuras (demons that multiply with bloodshed). Unless we tackle the root cause and neutralize this power, terrorism will persist,” he stated.

He also challenged all religions to eliminate elements of intolerance from their texts.

“If the Bhagavad Gita, Vachanas, or the Vedas contain intolerance, eliminate it. But do you have the courage to do the same with the Koran? Will you remove intolerance from the Bible?” he questioned.

He warned that unless such ideologies are transformed, ‘Raktabeejasuras’ will continually arise, rendering global peace unattainable.

Ravi remarked that the terrorists exhibited a demonic mindset by executing husbands before their wives and fathers before their children, demonstrating utter disregard for humanity.

“They clearly show that they have no connection with human values,” he added.

He also criticized the typical aftermath of such attacks, where the public temporarily condemns and mourns the incident, offers compensation to victims' families, and then moves on.

“We begin tallying how many individuals from which state or caste were killed, but for these terrorists, anyone outside their faith is a ‘kafir’,” he noted, highlighting the historical context of such violence.

At least 26 tourists and local civilians were slain on Tuesday when gunmen indiscriminately fired upon innocent civilians in Baisaran, Jammu and Kashmir.

Eyewitness reports indicate that a group of heavily armed terrorists emerged from adjacent forests and opened fire on civilians, most of whom were tourists.

Baisran is a small meadow located three to four km from the Pahalgam market, which tourists access via horseback due to the absence of a motorable road.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi returned to New Delhi on Wednesday morning after cutting short his trip to Saudi Arabia owing to the terror attack.

He held a brief meeting with NSA Ajit Doval, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, and Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri at the airport. PM Modi strongly condemned the terror attack on Tuesday, asserting that the perpetrators will face justice and reaffirming India’s “unwavering” commitment to combat terrorism.
