Mumbai, Jan 21 (NationPress) Actress Tillotama Shome, who is set to portray SP Meghna Barua in “Paatal Lok Season 2”, initially thought the offer for the role was a joke.

Reflecting on her significant entry into the franchise, Tillotama remarked, “I genuinely feel that it’s a stroke of luck that I watched the show, became enamored with it, and eventually found myself part of its sequel.”

She continued: “It played out like a dream-come-true in my mind. For quite some time, I believed that the franchise’s team extending me a role was a prank until my first reading.”

The actress reminisced about a long table filled with individuals who were deeply engaged and passionate about the project.

“That’s when it dawned on me that each person, whether it be the writer, director, production designer, or music director, contributed something unique, which is why the show has achieved its current stature. I felt incredibly proud to portray a female police officer from Nagaland in this series, and I recall being overwhelmed with excitement during the initial table reads,” Tillotama added.

“Paatal Lok Season 2” pushes Hathi Ram Chaudhary into uncharted waters, challenging his strength and ethics like never before. As he battles a merciless criminal underbelly and his own inner demons, the distinctions between duty and obsession become hazy, forcing him to confront his deepest fears.
