Los Angeles, Oct 19 (NationPress) Hollywood sensation Tom Holland has officially stepped out of the contention for the role of James Bond. The primary factor for this decision appears to be his unbreakable agreement with Marvel Studios.

The 29-year-old actor was previously considered a potential successor to Daniel Craig as the iconic 007, but reports indicate that his Marvel contract restricts him from taking on roles that might eclipse his leading position in the Spider-Man franchise, according to ‘Female First UK’.

A source revealed to ‘The Sun’, “Tom can't play two superheroes, it just won't happen.” Holland had earlier mentioned his willingness to portray Bond, stating that securing the role would represent the “pinnacle” of his career.

While conversing with Gordon Ramsay on YouTube, Holland addressed the swirling rumors, saying, “Listen, there’s speculation at the moment. We’ll keep it to a minimum for now. We’ll get there one day.”

As noted by ‘Female First UK’, Ramsay pressed Holland further, questioning, “Can you imagine what’s going to happen to your life if you do? First of all, you’d love that opportunity, right?”

Holland responded, “I mean every young British actor, it’s the pinnacle of working in our industry. I already consider myself to be the luckiest kid alive. I could not have dreamed to have the career that I have.”

The 26th Bond film, directed by Denis Villeneuve, is slated to enter production at Pinewood Studios in the UK next April, with the screenplay penned by Steven Knight, the creator of Peaky Blinders. The storyline will delve into the dangers posed by artificial intelligence.

A source remarked, “This is the first Bond of the AI era and the plot is going to reflect that. Writers are going to have some fun. This next Bond movie has to feel bold, fresh and relevant, especially after such a long break. There's a sense of cautious excitement behind the scenes.”
