Additionally, in Andhra Pradesh, passengers on an APSRTC bus had a close call when the vehicle caught fire after coming into contact with high-tension wires. This incident took place at Veeranna Gattupalli in Vempalli mandal of YSR Kadapa district. The bus ignited after contacting 11 kV power lines. Passengers alerted the driver upon noticing the flames, leading to an immediate stop. Thankfully, all 18 passengers escaped without injury. Firefighting teams arrived promptly to control the fire. The bus was en route from Vempalli to Kadiri.
