Emergency responders swiftly arrived, with fire crews battling the blaze and ambulances transporting the injured to local hospitals.
“The tragic truck accident in Indore today has deeply saddened me. After receiving detailed information about the incident, I instructed the Additional Chief Secretary (Home) to visit the site for an immediate inspection. I have also mandated a preliminary inquiry to determine how heavy vehicles were permitted to enter the city before 11 PM, aiming for accountability and preventive measures. My heartfelt condolences go out to the families of the deceased, and I pray for the rapid recovery of all the injured,” Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed on his X handle.
Urban development minister Kailash Vijayavargiya also visited the hospitals to check on the injured.
“The reports of civilians injured in a road accident at Shikshak Nagar on Airport Road in Indore have deeply affected me. Upon learning of the incident, I cancelled my visit to Dhar district and rushed to Indore. I visited the hospital to meet the injured and personally assess their condition and care. Clear instructions have been issued to the district administration for swift action. We stand firmly with the affected families during this challenging time, and all necessary arrangements have been made for proper medical treatment for those injured,” he shared on his X handle, along with posted images.
