Indore, Sep 16 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, arrived at hospitals in Indore on Tuesday to assess the well-being of individuals injured in a serious truck accident that occurred on Monday evening within the city limits.
He has mandated a thorough investigation into the tragic incident, which resulted in the immediate deaths of three individuals, while thirteen others sustained injuries when a reckless truck veered off course and crashed into multiple vehicles on a congested road near Indore airport.
The authorities are currently questioning the truck driver to uncover the factors that contributed to this accident and to determine any potential negligence.
The injured victims are being treated at various healthcare facilities, including Geetanjali Hospital, Verma Hospital, and Sri Aurobindo Hospital, among others.
Reports indicate that the condition of at least three people is critical.
Upon his arrival in Indore, the Chief Minister paid a visit to Geetanjali Hospital, where he met with the injured patients and inquired about their health status. He instructed the district administration to guarantee adequate medical support for all those affected.
Additionally, he emphasized the need for enhanced medical treatment for the injured. The Chief Minister also engaged with the family members of those receiving care at Sri Aurobindo Hospital.

Notably, Yadav promptly assigned senior IAS officer Shivshankar Shukla, Additional Chief Secretary, to oversee the rescue efforts following the incident.

CCTV footage of the incident reveals the truck crashing into three cars and an auto rickshaw from behind, leaving one of the vehicles severely damaged in mere seconds.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Krishna Lalchandani informed reporters that the driver, who was under the influence, lost control of the vehicle.
The driver has been arrested, taken to the Malharganj police station, and subjected to medical testing.
The truck, registered to one Sohail alias Damru Singh of Dharampuri, has been confiscated, and further actions are underway.
A police officer reported that the speeding truck first collided with a motorcycle before crashing into other vehicles, and they are actively interrogating the driver.
