Agartala, Nov 11 (NationPress) Tripura's Chief Minister Manik Saha on Tuesday claimed that the former Left Front government had transformed job recruitment into a mockery, whereas the current BJP administration is dedicated to ensuring transparency in all sectors, especially in employment.

The BJP-led government is prioritizing the holistic development of the state's education sector, emphasizing the provision of quality education for students, said the Chief Minister during the inauguration of Kakraban Government Degree College in the Gomati district.

Saha also inaugurated a 50-bed girls' hostel at the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) located within the college premises.

Pointing fingers at the mismanagement in the previous administration, Tripura's Chief Minister remarked that those influenced by communist ideology had instigated chaos in schools and colleges under the guise of Naxalism.

“No one was aware when a bomb might detonate in an educational institution or who would suffer harm. Such was the state of affairs back then,” he noted.

Currently, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the initiatives taken by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, efforts are being made to eradicate Maoist influences.

“Even on Monday, communists convened a meeting in Agartala under the banner of CITU. They proclaimed the need to protest and take to the streets. However, the public is no longer receptive to the politics of instigation, having experienced it firsthand. Those not aligned with their party were denied employment. Our present government is committed to providing jobs with transparency and fairness.

“The CPI (M) used to seek out individuals exclusively from their ranks for every opportunity,” he continued.

“In essence, they practiced the politics of favoritism. The public is now realizing that a farce was played out in the name of jobs during their tenure. Since assuming power, our government has created approximately 20,000 jobs without any challenges. Our goal is to cultivate a better Tripura in a peaceful and progressive environment, guided by the Prime Minister,” the CM asserted.

He further emphasized that the current government is placing special emphasis on delivering quality education to children.

“I urge students to engage in social work during their educational journey. We must serve the community. The Prime Minister articulates that education is not solely about textbook knowledge but serves as a means for instilling values, fostering growth, and contributing to nation-building. We must approach our endeavors with this perspective,” Saha concluded.

Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, Higher Education Minister Kishore Barman, MLAs Jitendra Majumder, Ranjit Das, Gomati Zilla Parishad President Debal Debroy, Kakraban Panchayat Samiti Chairperson Supriya Saha, and numerous public officials were present at the event.
