Truck Tragedy Claims Lives of Three Vegetable Vendors in Telangana

Hyderabad, Dec 2 (NationPress) Three individuals lost their lives and several others sustained injuries when a truck collided with roadside vendors in Telangana's Rangareddy district on Monday.

The mishap took place on the Hyderabad-Bijapur highway near Aluru Stage in the Chevella mandal of Rangareddy district.

Approximately 50 vendors were engaged in selling vegetables along the roadside when the truck veered into them.

Sadly, three individuals died instantly, while others sustained injuries. The scene turned chaotic as the truck's driver lost control, endangering both vendors and customers.

The out-of-control truck eventually came to a stop after crashing into a tree. Meanwhile, the driver was trapped inside the cabin, prompting rescue efforts to extract him.

This incident caused significant disruption on the Hyderabad-Bijapur highway.

Authorities swiftly arrived at the scene and transported the injured to Chevella Government Hospital. The death toll may rise, as the condition of three of those injured is reported to be critical.

The deceased have been identified as Ramulu and Prema from Aluru, and Sujata from Khanapur.

The speeding truck originated from Hyderabad, but the cause of the accident remains unclear at this time. Police are investigating the possibility of brake failure as a potential factor in this tragic event.
