Tunisia Uncovers Drug Trafficking Operation Near Capital City
Tunis, Dec 9 (NationPress) Tunisian security forces have successfully dismantled a drug trafficking operation in the Grand Tunis region, which is the largest metropolitan area in Tunisia. They confiscated 3 kg of cocaine, as reported by the National Guard on their Facebook page.
In two distinct operations, security forces apprehended five suspects and seized the cocaine, along with various quantities of narcotic pills, cash, jewelry, and three vehicles, according to the National Guard.
No details were provided regarding the timing of these operations or the nationalities of those arrested.
The Tunisian government has taken a firm stance against drug trafficking, resulting in hundreds of individuals being apprehended in recent nationwide crackdowns, as reported by Xinhua news agency.
