The tragic event occurred at Fulwaria Crossing, located within the jurisdiction of the Raghunathpur police station.
The deceased, Radha Sah, served as the Mukhiya of Gopi Pattev Panchayat in the Raghunathpur block.
As per police reports, the village leader had arrived at Fulwaria Crossing for some official matters when masked assailants opened fire on him.
Sah fell to the ground and was declared dead at the scene.
