CES 2025: AI Innovations to Take Center Stage at the Largest Global Electronics Expo

Seoul, Dec 30 (NationPress) South Korean firms are gearing up to display their state-of-the-art artificial intelligence (AI) solutions at CES 2025, recognized as the world's foremost consumer electronics and IT trade fair, commencing in Las Vegas next week.

In addition to major household appliance manufacturers like Samsung Electronics Co. and LG Electronics Inc., other notable Korean corporations such as SK hynix Inc., SK Telecom Co., and Hyundai Mobis Co. will also reveal groundbreaking innovations.

This year’s CES, running from January 7-10 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, is expected to be dominated by AI, under the theme “Dive In,” as reported by Yonhap news agency.

Samsung Electronics, the leading global manufacturer of mobile phones and memory chips, will introduce its AI-driven smart home initiative, “AI for All: Connectivity in the Age of AI.”

The company is set to unveil its latest range of home appliances, including the new Bespoke refrigerator, washer, and dryer, all equipped with its AI-enhanced SmartThings connectivity, allowing for seamless integration and remote device management.

Furthermore, Samsung will present its inaugural air-to-water heat pump series for the North American market at CES 2025, aiming to bolster its presence in the expanding U.S. heating, ventilation, and air conditioning market.

These energy-efficient systems, currently offered in Europe under the Eco Heating System (EHS) brand, utilize ambient air heat for heating and hot water.

Affiliates of Samsung ElectronicsSamsung SDS Co. and Samsung Display Co.—will operate separate booths to exhibit their innovations to potential international clients.

LG Electronics, which has been broadening its business portfolio into business-to-business sectors, including automotive electronics and air solutions, will also highlight its latest AI-driven technologies.

The company will host an interactive area featuring its in-cabin sensing solutions, designed to monitor driver behavior and vehicle interior conditions.

Visitors will have the opportunity to experience a driving simulator that tracks not only their movements but also their emotions and heart rates, providing alerts in emergency scenarios.

In addition, LG will showcase its AI-powered refrigerators and dishwashers, further affirming its dedication to smart home innovations.

SK Telecom and SK hynix will collaborate in a booth to demonstrate their advancements in AI data centers and chips. SK Telecom will feature a 6-meter LED pillar at the heart of its exhibit, spotlighting four AI data center solutions: energy, AI, operations, and security.

The firm will also unveil its AI assistant, aster, set for launch in the North American market next year, along with outlining its service strategies.

SK hynix, a frontrunner in the high-bandwidth memory (HBM) domain, will showcase its 16-layer HBM3E chips, recognized as the most advanced HBM products available globally.

Hyundai Mobis Co., an auto parts supplier affiliated with South Korean automotive giant Hyundai Motor Group, is also preparing to participate in the upcoming CES to present its advanced technologies, including a holographic windshield display and human-centric interior lighting system.
