New Delhi, April 7 (NationPress) Building on last year’s patterns, healthcare recruitment in India is projected to rise during the first half (H1) of this year, according to a report released on Monday. The report indicates a 52 percent hiring intent for the January-June timeframe, reflecting a 5 percent increase from the second half of 2024.
This growth is fueled by innovations in digital health solutions, the expansion of diagnostic services, and an increasing demand for specialized care professionals, as stated in the report by TeamLease Edtech.
The healthcare sector is expected to grow to $638 billion by 2025, providing numerous opportunities for job seekers.
Major urban centers like Bengaluru, Delhi, and Chennai are experiencing a notable increase in healthcare hiring, according to the report.
As hospitals and healthcare providers adopt AI-driven diagnostics, telemedicine, and data-driven treatment models, the need for skilled professionals has surged, said Shantanu Rooj, Founder and CEO of TeamLease Edtech.
Moreover, enhanced investments in research and medical infrastructure are contributing to opportunities in emerging healthcare hubs, Rooj added.
The demand for healthcare professionals in India is undergoing a significant transformation, with the highest need for Medical Transcriptionists reported in Bengaluru, where demand reaches an impressive 65 percent.
Delhi closely follows with a 60 percent demand for clinical data analysts. Other notable roles include pharmacy technicians in Gurugram at 58 percent, phlebotomists at 55 percent, and dieticians at 51 percent.
Interestingly, tier 2 cities are emerging as dynamic centers for the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.
As potential professionals contemplate careers in healthcare, several certification courses are gaining traction.
These sought-after programs encompass Applied Clinical Data Analysis, Medical Reference Application, Pharmacy Technician Certification, Data Management, Clinical Documentation Software Training, Laboratory and Phlebotomy Software, and Automated Transcription Applications, among others.
