In an extensive post on Truth Social, US President Donald Trump announced that the deal would swiftly lower the US reciprocal tariff on Indian products from 25 percent to 18 percent, describing it as a pivotal change in bilateral trade relations associated with energy collaboration and larger geopolitical aspirations.

Vaishnaw remarked, “The US and India are the world’s largest democracies, and our nations are natural allies. United, we can leverage our massive potential for peace and development.”
