New Delhi, Jan 23 (NationPress) India is establishing itself as a significant player in the realm of artificial intelligence (AI), bolstered by robust reforms, a comprehensive digital public infrastructure, and a talented tech workforce, as stated by Kristalina Georgieva, the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, during the World Economic Forum in Davos.
The IMF MD highlighted India's swiftly developed digital public infrastructure and its extensive pool of IT-skilled professionals as key advantages, according to NDTV Profit.
Georgieva expressed that the IMF holds India in high esteem for the speed and quality of its recent economic reforms.
In response to remarks made by Union Electronics and Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Georgieva remarked that the Fund views India's prospects in AI as “remarkable”.
Vaishnaw had recently countered Georgieva's comments that placed India in a “second grouping” of AI powers, referencing a Stanford assessment that ranks India third globally in AI readiness.
