New Delhi, April 18 (NationPress) Isuzu Motors India has announced a remarkable 24% increase in its commercial vehicle (CV) exports, totaling 20,312 units in FY25.
This represents a significant rise from 16,329 units exported in the previous financial year, establishing it as the leading exporter of commercial vehicles in the country for this period.
The company continues to play a pivotal role in Isuzu's global expansion, particularly in the pickup truck sector, leveraging India as a strategic base for both domestic and international markets.
Isuzu produces its vehicles at its Sri City facility in Andhra Pradesh, accommodating both left-hand and right-hand drive models.
These vehicles are shipped to various nations across Asia and the Middle East, including Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, and Jordan.
Commenting on the export success, Toru Kishimoto, Deputy Managing Director of Isuzu Motors India, noted that the increasing global demand for India-manufactured Isuzu vehicles underscores the high quality, reliability, and performance of their offerings.
“The company’s export figures have consistently risen over the years, owing to a diverse lineup of vehicles that conform to international standards,” he added.
Isuzu Motors India commenced its operations in 2016 with the inauguration of its manufacturing plant in Sri City. Recently, the plant celebrated the production of its 100,000th vehicle, marking a significant production achievement.
In 2020, the company enhanced its operations by adding a press shop and an engine assembly plant.
In addition to exports, the company is also bolstering its presence in the domestic market by expanding its sales and service network.
Rajesh Mittal, President and Managing Director of Isuzu Motors India, stated that every vehicle produced in India adheres to the global standards that characterize the Isuzu brand.
“The company’s manufacturing practices and product quality are tailored to meet the demands of customers both in India and internationally,” he emphasized.
