New Delhi, Dec 1 (NationPress) The renowned automobile manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M Ltd.) announced on Monday that its total vehicle sales for November reached 92,670 units, marking a remarkable 19 percent increase compared to the same month last year, including exports.
Leading the charge, Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs) dominated the domestic market with sales hitting 56,336 units, a significant rise of 22 percent year-on-year, while total SUV sales, including exports, amounted to 57,598.
In the commercial vehicle sector, domestic sales for commercial vehicles reached 24,843 units, reflecting a 17 percent increase YoY.
“We also celebrated the first anniversary of our Electric Origin SUVs and launched India’s first genuine Electric Origin 7-seater SUV – the XEV 9S – alongside the world’s inaugural Formula E-themed special edition SUV, the Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition,” stated Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO of the Automotive Division at M&M Ltd.
This automotive giant reported a total of 4,25,530 utility vehicle sales in FY26 up to November, which is an increase of 18 percent from 360,936 in FY25. The November sales of 56,336 surpassed the 46,222 units sold the previous year.
Sales of Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs) under 2 tonnes registered 3,255 units in November, a 5 percent rise from the previous year, while LCVs in the 2-tonne to 3.5-tonne category increased by 20 percent to 21,588. Year-to-date sales for FY26 of LCVs in the 2-tonne to 3.5-tonne range are up 13 percent, reaching 1,62,946.
Additionally, the company reported that three-wheelers, including electric variants, posted 8,568 domestic sales in November, which is a 7 percent increase year-on-year.
Exports also saw a boost, with 2,923 units shipped in November, reflecting a 5 percent YoY increase, while year-to-date exports reached 27,241, up 30 percent.
The subsidiary of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Ltd, reported in November that it has surpassed 3 lakh electric commercial vehicles sold, claiming the title of the first original equipment manufacturer in India to achieve this milestone.
