Mumbai, March 1 (NationPress) Mahindra & Mahindra declared on Saturday that its total automobile sales for February reached 83,702 vehicles, marking a 15 percent increase, inclusive of exports.
In the 'Utility Vehicles' category, Mahindra sold 50,420 SUVs in the domestic market, reflecting a 19 percent growth, contributing to a total of 52,386 vehicles sold overall, including exports. The domestic sales for Commercial Vehicles amounted to 23,826 units.
“In February, we achieved SUV sales of 50,420, a 19 percent growth, leading to a total of 83,702 vehicles sold, which is a 15 percent increase. This impressive performance is attributed to the sustained positive trend of our SUV lineup,” stated Veejay Nakra, President of the Automotive Division at M&M Ltd.
Additionally, Mahindra & Mahindra’s Farm Equipment Sector (FES), part of the Mahindra Group, released its tractor sales figures for February.
Domestic sales for February reached 23,880 units, compared to 20,121 units in February 2024.
The total tractor sales for February 2025 (including domestic and exports) amounted to 25,527 units, up from 21,672 units for the same timeframe last year. Exports for the month totaled 1,647 units.
According to Hemant Sikka, President of the Farm Equipment Sector at Mahindra & Mahindra, “We recorded 23,880 tractors sold in the domestic market for February 2025, reflecting a 19 percent rise compared to last year.”
Following a successful Kharif crop, the outlook for the Rabi crop remains optimistic due to favorable weather conditions.
“The rise in agricultural credit limits, ongoing government support to enhance farmer income, and a substantial Rabi harvest will contribute to an increase in tractor demand in the future. In the export market, we have sold 1,647 tractors, achieving a 6 percent growth compared to last year,” he added.
