Synopsis
Key Takeaways
New Delhi, April 3 (NationPress) Maruti Suzuki, the leading automobile company in India, announced on Friday that it has successfully launched 502 new service touchpoints during the financial year ending March 2026. This achievement marks the most significant single-year network expansion in the company's history, elevating its total after-sales service presence to 5,926 touchpoints across 3,000 cities and towns nationwide.
The newly introduced service locations include varied formats such as ARENA and NEXA workshops, Maruti Suzuki Sales and Service Points (MSSPs), and Service-on-Wheels. This diversity underscores the company’s commitment to catering to customers in metropolitan areas, smaller towns, and remote regions alike.
“Customers can choose to visit a workshop, utilize doorstep service, have their vehicles serviced at frequently visited locations, or receive assistance while on a road trip; a Maruti Suzuki service touchpoint is always close by,” stated Hisashi Takeuchi, the MD & CEO of Maruti Suzuki India.
Takeuchi also shared the future vision of expanding the service network to approximately 8,000 touchpoints by the fiscal year 2030–31.
This expansion is notably faster compared to previous growth rates. The company inaugurated its inaugural service workshop in 1983, taking nearly 14 years to reach the milestone of 1,000 touchpoints by 1997.
Furthermore, Maruti Suzuki has reported a 5 percent year-on-year increase in its retail sales for March, with full-year FY26 volumes showing a growth of about 3 percent compared to the last fiscal year.
In March, the company recorded total sales of 2,25,251 units, up from 1,92,984 units in the same month last year. Domestic passenger vehicle sales accounted for 1,69,428 units, while exports rose to 47,040 units, with sales to other OEMs reaching 8,783 units.
As of Thursday, Maruti Suzuki shares closed at Rs 12,632, reflecting a 1 percent increase on the BSE.
