During the launch, a training module for the Model Youth Gram Sabha and the MYGS Portal will also be revealed. These digital resources are designed to support effective execution of the initiative, enhance teacher training, and encourage active student participation in grassroots democracy, according to the statement.
The event in New Delhi will showcase representatives from the Ministries of Panchayati Raj, Education, and Tribal Affairs, alongside more than 650 attendees, including students, educators, and elected panchayat representatives.
This initiative aligns with the National Education Policy 2020, aiming to instill democratic values, civic duties, and leadership qualities among youth, thereby cultivating future citizens dedicated to transparency, accountability, and the vision of Viksit Bharat, noted the statement.
Recently, the Ministry of Education launched various initiatives for students, including the Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025. This event invited school students from Grades 6-12 to participate, fostering creative thinking to tackle real-life challenges and compete for rewards amounting to Rs 1 crore.
