New Delhi, Oct 29 (NationPress) The government has announced the launch of a groundbreaking Model Youth Grama Sabha (MYGS) on October 30, designed to engage students in simulated Grama Sabha meetings aimed at enhancing participatory local governance.

The Model Youth Grama Sabha is an innovative initiative focusing on bolstering Janbhagidari and fostering participatory local governance by involving students in practical Gram Sabha sessions, as stated in an official report.

This initiative will be implemented in over 1,000 schools across the nation, including Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs), Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRSs), and state government institutions.
