Key Takeaways
New Delhi, April 17 (NationPress) K. Krithivasan, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Tata Consultancy Services, on Friday outlined a comprehensive set of actions taken by the organization in light of the controversy surrounding the Nashik TCS conversion case, aimed at addressing concerns and ensuring a transparent investigation.
In an official statement, Krithivasan confirmed that there have been no complaints lodged under the company's Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) framework related to this issue.
He also indicated that media reports identifying Nida Khan as an HR manager were inaccurate.
TCS clarified that Khan was employed as a process associate and did not hold any recruitment or leadership roles.
“Nida Khan, frequently referenced in the media as TCS's HR manager, is neither an HR manager nor involved in recruitment. Her position was that of a process associate without any leadership duties,” he stated.
The company has initiated an internal investigation spearheaded by Aarthi Subramanian, President and Chief Operating Officer.
“We have established an Oversight committee chaired by Keki Mistry, an Independent Director of TCS,” he added.
To enhance the integrity of the investigation, TCS has engaged external specialists, including Deloitte and the law firm Trilegal, to serve as independent advisors.
Furthermore, the oversight committee, led by Keki Mistry, will evaluate the internal investigation's findings and supervise the application of any subsequent recommendations.
In response to media speculation, TCS refuted claims regarding the closure of its Nashik facility, asserting that operations continue uninterrupted, ensuring no disruption to client services.
The company also reported that initial reviews of its internal systems and records have not indicated any complaints of the nature being alleged, whether through ethics channels or POSH mechanisms.
Emphasizing the company's commitment to workplace integrity, Krithivasan reiterated TCS's zero-tolerance policy towards coercion and misconduct.
He stressed that employee welfare, safety, and dignity are paramount across all TCS locations.
TCS has pledged full cooperation with law enforcement to facilitate a thorough and fair investigation.
The organization remains focused on supporting its employees as the situation is examined through appropriate legal and institutional frameworks.
