Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's nomination of 10 individuals to spearhead the campaign against obesity, these prominent industry figures shared their thoughts on the social media platform X, while also nominating their celebrity acquaintances to amplify the message.

Mahindra expressed, "To realize the 'Viksit Bharat' vision by 2047, not only do we need a resilient economy, but a healthy population is essential too. Simple adjustments, such as using 10 percent less cooking oil, can lead to significant impacts—benefiting your health, your finances, and promoting a healthier planet." He extended his gratitude to PM Modi for the initiative.

Nilekani conveyed his appreciation to the Prime Minister for initiating the crucial #FightObesity campaign.

Nilekani, who previously chaired the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), mentioned, "In addition to dietary modifications, I have integrated daily exercise to manage obesity and its related challenges."

Rajya Sabha MP Sudha Murty, also nominated by PM Modi, has selected Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, head of Biocon, and P.T. Usha, president of the Indian Olympic Association, to support the fight against obesity.

This national initiative against obesity seeks to enhance awareness regarding balanced food consumption and aligns with PM Modi's Fit India campaign.

The Prime Minister has called upon citizens to adopt healthier eating practices, especially by curtailing excessive oil use. He stressed that making informed dietary decisions is not just a personal choice but a shared responsibility toward family and society.
