Mumbai, March 28 (NationPress) Actor Aadil Khan, portraying the character of Ranjit Thakur in the newly launched streaming series ‘Khakee: The Bengal Chapter’, has revealed how he developed a strong bromance with fellow actor Ritwik Bhowmik during the show.
In this series, Aadil and Ritwik play the enforcers for a local politician. IANS had an exclusive chat with Aadil before the show's premiere.
The actor mentioned to IANS that their connection formed naturally. He stated, “When I received the offer for the show and read through the script, my first thought was about who would portray Sagor, as the script emphasizes the chemistry between the characters. I was quite concerned about that. Then I met Ritwik and learned that he would be playing the role.”
Aadil recalled that they had previously met for a short time. He said, “We crossed paths a long time ago, during my radio days, over a brief meeting. It was more than a decade ago. So, our interaction wasn't entirely new. That slight familiarity proved beneficial for developing our characters.”
Aadil elaborated, “During our readings for the roles, after spending just 15 minutes discussing the story and getting to know one another, I felt reassured and thought, ‘Oh nice, this guy is great’. We have quite similar backgrounds. Additionally, there were workshops, training sessions, and rehearsals that allowed us to construct our world and foster a strong brotherhood. This bond not only aided our performance in the show but also helped us forge a lasting friendship.”
Ritwik added, “Some relationships you don't just create; you earn them. We earned ours by investing time together.”
Moreover, Ritwik had previously expressed his support for Aadil's upcoming project. He took to Instagram a few days ago to share behind-the-scenes videos, captioning, “Missing my brother today as he takes on his new journey! Eager to see what you’ll bring us next, @aadilkhanitis.
