Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Chennai, April 11 (NationPress) The renowned distribution company, Ahmisa Entertainment, responsible for bringing director H Vinoth's highly anticipated Tamil film 'Jana Nayagan' starring actor Vijay to the UK, has shared a heartfelt message following the unauthorized release of the film's footage online.
In a poignant post on their social media platforms, the firm expressed, "Today marks the most challenging day we have encountered. #JanaNayagan represents Thalapathy's farewell — a tribute to all he has contributed over the years. It was intended to be experienced in theaters, at the appropriate moment, alongside all of you."
They further articulated, "A film is not merely what appears on the screen. It embodies years of dedication, sacrifice, and the collective effort of thousands of individuals. Whether you choose to watch it in theaters or not is a personal decision — but endorsing piracy undermines all of this. It shatters something that cannot be restored."
The distribution company emphasized, "A film holds lives within it. Piracy reduces that to nothing. Please support it in the appropriate manner."
Meanwhile, the film's creators have urged audiences to refrain from interacting with any leaked content related to their film.
In an official statement, KVN Productions asserted, "We, KVN Productions LLP, are the Producers and sole copyright proprietors of the cinematograph film 'Jana Nayagan'. We have become aware that certain scenes and clips from this film, and in some cases, substantial portions of it, have been illegally accessed, copied, and disseminated by unidentified individuals, posing a significant threat of digital piracy."
The production house continued, "We hereby inform you that downloading, viewing, storing, forwarding, sharing, uploading, or circulating such leaked content via WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, websites, torrents, or any other means constitutes a criminal act and a breach of copyright laws."
Highlighting that every digital action can be traced, the production house notified the public that it has already initiated necessary investigations, including forensic inquiries, and complaints against those involved. They are actively working to identify all others in the distribution chain.
"We will pursue rigorous civil and criminal actions against every offender without exception. The public is strongly warned not to engage with such leaked content in any form. Anyone found participating shall face immediate legal repercussions at their own risk. If you receive such content, do not open, save, or forward it. Delete it promptly," the production house advised.
