Mumbai, Jan 20 (NationPress) National Award-winning actor Manoj Bajpayee is reveling in the re-release of his iconic film ‘Satya’. On Monday, he shared a video on his Instagram from a theatre in Pune, showcasing audiences enjoying the film alongside the hit song ‘Sapne Mein’.

In his caption, he expressed, “Even after 26 years, ‘Satya’ continues to fill theatres and capture hearts. There’s a certain magic in experiencing this cult classic on the big screen; the emotions, the music, and the unforgettable storytelling make it an ageless experience. The crime drama, directed by the legendary Ram Gopal Varma, transformed Hindi cinema and paved the way for contemporary noir dramas such as ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ and ‘Mirzapur’.

This film launched the careers of numerous talents, including notable technicians in Bollywood, among them Anurag Kashyap, who co-wrote the script with Saurabh Shukla, Manoj Bajpayee, and music composer Sandeep Chowta.

Released shortly before the blockbuster ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, which relied on traditional Bollywood themes, it’s ‘Satya’ that has emerged as a cult favorite over the years, receiving immense critical acclaim.

Before ‘Satya’, RGV made his Hindi film debut with ‘Rangeela’. The filmmaker has not only revolutionized Hindi cinema with the groundbreaking music of ‘Rangeela’ and innovative storytelling techniques but has also made a significant impact on Telugu cinema with his film ‘Shiva’, starring Nagarjuna Akkineni.
