Ekta Kapoor Receives Blessings at Puri's Jagannath Temple

Mumbai, Dec 4 (NationPress) Producer Ekta Kapoor, enjoying the overwhelming success of her recent release 'The Sabarmati Report', visited the Jagannath Temple in Puri, Odisha to seek divine blessings.

She shared a reel video from her temple visit on Instagram, showcasing the sacred site, with Ekta adorned with a holy teeka on her forehead and enjoying a buggy ride to the temple.

In her post, she captioned, #jaganathpuri JAI GOVINDAAAA.

The Jagannath Temple is dedicated to Lord Jagannath, an incarnation of Vishnu, along with his siblings, Balaram and Subhadra. Historical records indicate that King Indradyumna from Avanti constructed the main temple at Puri. This temple is renowned for its annual Ratha Yatra, a chariot festival that honors the three deities, where they are pulled on large, intricately decorated chariots.

The idol of Jagannath is crafted from wood and is ceremoniously replaced every 12 to 19 years with an identical replica. The temple is one of the Char Dham pilgrimage sites and is significant as many legends suggest that the heart of Lord Krishna is enshrined here.

'The Sabarmati Report' revolves around the tragic incident involving the Sabarmati Express train. This unfortunate event took place on February 27, 2002, when a mob set fire to the S6 coach of the train near the Godhra railway station in Gujarat.

In the film, Raashii and Vikrant portray journalists, highlighting the tragic circumstances surrounding the Sabarmati Express train.

Produced by Balaji Motion Pictures, a subsidiary of Balaji Telefilms Ltd, and A Vikir Films Production, 'The Sabarmati Report' features Vikrant Massey, Raashii Khanna, and Ridhi Dogra. The film is directed by Dheeraj Sarna and produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R. Kapoor, Amul V. Mohan, and Anshul Mohan, with a worldwide release by Zee Studios.
