Mumbai, Aug 19 (NationPress) Actor Faissal Khan, who has made significant claims regarding mental distress from his family, recently disclosed his aspirations to direct a film in the near future.
In a conversation with IANS following a press conference aimed at clarifying various issues, he mentioned that he crafted several scripts during the lockdown and has shared them with actors.
Faissal stated, “In terms of my professional journey, I'm aiming to kick off a film. I've written some scripts during lockdown and around fourteen actors have shown interest in the storyline. It's set to be a multi-starrer film.”
When queried about his acting involvement in the film, he remarked, “I will serve as the director, and there might be a chance for me to appear in a cameo, but my primary focus will be on directing. I’m shifting more towards direction now. Yet, if a compelling role presents itself, I would consider it.”
Previously, Faissal revealed insights about the initial financial support he received from his superstar brother Aamir Khan, who provided him with a monthly allowance for his expenses. He had shared with IANS, “I began with a stipend of INR 30,000, which gradually increased. I also collaborated with Aamir as a script doctor for a fee.”
Faissal has also alleged that he has endured substantial challenges due to family dynamics, specifically naming his mother Zeenat Hussain, sister Nikhat, and brother-in-law Santosh Hegde. He went on to commend director Sandeep Reddy Vanga for his work on ‘Animal’ and the portrayal of family struggles, suggesting he shares similar sentiments regarding his brother-in-law akin to the character played by Ranbir Kapoor in the film.
As of now, he expressed feeling at peace, although he occasionally relies on anxiety medication when family pressures escalate.
