Additionally, police noted that they collected various samples from Saif's residence for forensic examination. While some results have come in, others are still outstanding.
On January 16, Saif was assaulted by an intruder who broke into his lavish Bandra home through the room of his youngest son, Jeh Ali Khan, during the early morning hours. The actor took himself to the hospital, accompanied by his son, Taimur.
Medical professionals extracted a 2.5-inch knife from his back. The 54-year-old actor, married to Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor Khan, suffered multiple stab wounds while attempting to fend off his attacker.
In total, he endured six stab wounds, with two being particularly severe due to their proximity to his spine. The incident unfolded as the suspect reportedly entered their Bandra home, assaulting their domestic worker before attacking Saif when he intervened.
Saif was awakened by the noise in his son Jeh’s room and entered to find the assailant in a confrontation with their house help. Seeing this, Saif stepped in to protect the worker, using only his bare hands to confront the intruder.
After a period of recovery, Saif made his first public appearance on February 3 following the knife attack. He attended the trailer launch of his upcoming streaming project ‘Jewel Thief - The Heist Begins’, where he stars alongside Jaideep Ahlawat.
