Karan Aanand’s ‘Jaaiye Aap Kahan Jaayenge’ Tackles Women’s Public Toilet Challenges

Mumbai, Dec 18 (NationPress) Actor Karan Aanand has revealed details about his upcoming film ‘Jaaiye Aap Kahan Jaayenge’, which seeks to tackle the issue of open defecation stemming from insufficient infrastructure and inadequate maintenance of public restrooms.
In a special interview with IANS, Karan elaborated that the film not only sheds light on the problem but also provides a solution for women grappling with inadequate facilities in public toilets. He expressed his belief that this film will resonate with a wide audience.
The actor further discussed his role in the film and detailed the most difficult scenes he faced. When questioned about his awareness of hygiene or cleanliness influenced by the film, Karan stated, “I’m not OCD, but I am conscious about it. You can see at my home how everything is arranged in order. It’s just in my nature.”
On the inspiration behind the film, Karan mentioned, “The concept originated from our director, Nikhil Raj, who also crafted the screenplay and dialogues. All the credit goes to him.”
Reflecting on the most demanding scene, Karan said, “Physically, there was a lot of hard work involved, but emotionally, I was well-prepared. There were no issues during the shooting. I particularly recall the climax scene where I’m conversing with my daughter on the phone. Emotional scenes like these are quite draining, and they were undoubtedly the most challenging for me as an actor.”
Karan also shared insights into his character, explaining, “The narrative contrasts two social classes—the affluent and the impoverished. I’ve noticed that when a wealthy individual gains money, they often think about their family, whereas the poor tend to support one another. I’ve witnessed individuals in poverty sharing food with those in need. It was from these real-life observations that I developed my character.”
‘Jaaiye Aap Kahan Jaayenge’ is directed and penned by Nikhil Raj. It narrates the story of Kishan (Karan Aanand), a reformed Sadhu who is the primary breadwinner for his family, working as a rickshaw driver. Motivated by the desire to create a positive impact on society and enhance the world around him, Kishan embarks on a difficult journey to gain his father’s (Sanjay Mishra) respect and revive familial love.
The film also features Sanjay Mishra, Ishtiyak Khan, Neeraj Sood, and Neelam Gupta.
