Mumbai, April 23 (NationPress) Actor-producer Nanda Yadav has shared insights about her forthcoming film ‘Hawk’, highlighting its distinctiveness in the realm of Bollywood thrillers.
With an innovative viewpoint and a daring narrative, the producer assures a tale that transcends typical genre conventions, delivering a thriller with substance and uniqueness. Discussing the film's exceptional qualities, Nanda mentioned to IANS, “While Hawk may initially seem like a family drama, it evolves into a captivating thriller. That evolution is what differentiates it. The subplots are intricate and surprising. I can’t reveal too much—you’ll need to see it to learn more!”
Nanda further elaborated, “This marks my third collaboration with Deepankar, so I never perceived it as a risk. When you work closely with someone, you grasp each other’s working methods. Shanti Niketan was also his project. Through that experience, we discovered a robust actor-director dynamic. With Hawk, stepping in as a producer felt like a natural step forward. It’s his narrative, he crafted it, and he knows best how to bring it to life. Therefore, our roles were clear from the beginning.”
When inquired if the casting of Hawk was motivated by strategy or sheer talent, Nanda Yadav provided clarity on the ensemble assembly. “It was entirely talent-driven. There was no strategic agenda involved. Each actor was selected because they were the best fit for their roles. As a team, we emphasized authenticity and performance above all else.”
Reflecting on her transition from actor to producer, Nanda Yadav shared how this change has influenced her artistic journey. She disclosed whether it has granted her more control or introduced new challenges along the way.
Nanda remarked, “I wouldn’t label it a transition—it’s more about balancing two roles simultaneously. I haven’t ceased being an actor, but yes, taking on the producer's role brings a new array of responsibilities. As an actor, your concentration is on your performance. However, as a producer, you’re engaged in every facet—from budgeting to post-production. The pressure has certainly escalated, but I wouldn’t claim to have complete creative authority. Every project involves a team: the director, cinematographer, among others. I value their contributions and prefer to allow them the freedom to convey their creative vision.”
