Protesters Target Allu Arjun's Residence Demanding Compensation for Stampede Victim

Mumbai, Dec 22 (NationPress) The ongoing turmoil surrounding the stampede at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad continues to escalate. On Sunday, the residence of Telugu superstar Allu Arjun was subjected to an attack by a group of protesters.

According to media reports, a faction of protesters from Osmania University was responsible for the vandalism. The demonstrators were seen brandishing placards, throwing stones and tomatoes at the house located in the Jubilee Hills area of Hyderabad, shattering flower pots and demanding that the actor provide support to the victim's family.

The group made attempts to breach the actor's residence, insisting on a compensation amount of Rs 1 crore for the family of a 35-year-old woman who tragically lost her life during the stampede at the cinema hall where the actor had attended the premiere of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’.

The recent days have been particularly challenging for the actor, who was detained in Hyderabad following the incident at the local theatre.

Previously, Allu Arjun was arrested at his home in Hyderabad and brought in for questioning by the authorities. The actor, known for his role in ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, expressed his displeasure towards the police for entering his bedroom, claiming it was inappropriate for them to invade his private space.

Allu Arjun faced arrest in connection with the death of a fan at Sandhya Theatre. On December 4, during the premiere of his film, the actor visited Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad to enjoy the movie with fans. However, a surge in the crowd led to a stampede, resulting in the tragic death of a fan named Revathi and her young son being asphyxiated amidst the chaos.

Revathi lost her life, while her son remains hospitalized in critical condition. In response to a complaint lodged by her family, the police apprehended the owner and two employees of Sandhya Theatre.
