Ram Gopal Varma Challenges Police on Arresting Sridevi in Heaven

Mumbai, Dec 20 (NationPress) In light of the ongoing controversy related to Allu Arjun's arrest, the outspoken filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has publicly supported the actor and raised a provocative question regarding Sridevi. He pointed out that three individuals tragically lost their lives during the filming of Kshana Kshanam when a massive crowd gathered to see the late star.
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Varma stated: “Every STAR should STRONGLY protest against @alluarjun’s ARREST because for any celebrity, whether it's a FILM STAR or a POLITICAL STAR, is it a crime for them to be ENORMOUSLY POPULAR???”
The filmmaker then made a sarcastic comment aimed at the Telangana Police, asking: “Three people died in the lakhs of crowd who came to see Sridevi during the shooting of my film Kshana Kshanam... So will the #TelanganaPolice now go to #HEAVEN to ARREST #Sridevi?”
Kshana Kshanam is a road comedy heist film released in 1991, featuring actors Venkatesh, Paresh Rawal, and Rami Reddy. The story revolves around Satya, a young woman who faces challenges from a gang of robbers led by Nayyar and the police.
Allu Arjun was released from Chanchalguda jail on December 14, where he was met with an emotional welcome from his children and wife Sneha Reddy. A video captured the moment he arrived home, with his children rushing to embrace him. His wife, Sneha, was also visibly emotional as she hugged him tightly.
Arjun left Chanchalguda Central Jail on December 14 after spending a night there due to a case linked to a stampede at a theater during the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule.
The national award-winning actor was granted interim bail by the Telangana High Court on Friday evening, shortly after a lower court had ordered him into judicial custody for 14 days. The delay in the prison authorities receiving the bail orders resulted in him spending the night in jail.
He was released through the rear gate of the jail and was escorted in a vehicle directly to the office of Geeta Arts.
It’s worth noting that during the stampede at Sandhya Theatre on December 4, a woman lost her life and her son was critically injured while attending the premiere show with Allu Arjun.
