MoS Bandi Sanjay Critiques Telangana Government for Allu Arjun's Arrest

Hyderabad, Dec 13 (NationPress) Union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Friday condemned the Congress government in Telangana for the apprehension of Tollywood actor Allu Arjun related to the stampede at a theatre in Hyderabad that tragically led to the death of a woman and injured her son.

The BJP leader expressed his discontent on the social media platform X, criticizing the manner in which the Hyderabad Police took Allu Arjun into custody from his residence in Jubilee Hills.

"The national award-winning actor Allu Arjun, taken directly from his home without even being afforded the opportunity to change, is a disgraceful act of mismanagement and disrespect. A star of his caliber, who has garnered global recognition for Indian cinema, merits superior treatment," Bandi Sanjay shared.

"The unfortunate demise of a woman in the stampede at Sandhya theatre is deeply regrettable, but it highlights the Congress government's failure to manage the large crowd. Following the tremendous success of 'Pushpa: The Rise', fans had high expectations for 'Pushpa: The Rule', and such a significant turnout was anticipated given his popularity," the MoS stated.

"The true failure lies in the Congress government's incapability to ensure adequate arrangements for such a high-profile event. This negligence and mismanagement are intolerable. The Icon Star and his fans deserve dignity, not chaos," Bandi Sanjay added.

In parallel, BJP MLA Raja Singh has also voiced criticism regarding Allu Arjun's arrest. The MLA from Goshamahal constituency in Hyderabad mentioned that the actor should not be held accountable for the stampede.

The BJP leader asserted that the stampede at Sandhya Theatre during the premiere of 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' occurred due to governmental failures. He claimed that the police did not implement measures to manage the crowd effectively, which led to the stampede.

Raja Singh stated that it was inappropriate to label Allu Arjun as the accused in this matter. He emphasized that by attaining a national award, Allu Arjun has brought honor to the Telugu states.
