Ashwini Vaishnaw Criticizes Congress for Disregarding Creative Industry Following Allu Arjun's Arrest

New Delhi, Dec 13 (NationPress) Union Minister for Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw expressed his disapproval of the Congress government in Telangana on Friday regarding the arrest of the Tollywood icon Allu Arjun, stating that the long-established party demonstrates a complete lack of respect for the creative industry.
"Congress has no regard for the creative sector, and the arrest of Allu Arjun is further evidence of this," the Union Minister commented on X.
He elaborated that the incident at Sandhya Theatre was a blatant example of inadequate preparations by both the state and local authorities.
"To shift the blame off themselves, they are resorting to such publicity stunts," he remarked.
Moreover, he emphasized that the Telangana administration should support those impacted and hold accountable those responsible for the arrangements that day, rather than persistently targeting film figures.
"It is unfortunate to witness this becoming standard practice during the one year the Congress has been in power there," the Union Minister stated on X.
On Friday, the Hyderabad Police detained Allu Arjun in connection with a case involving a stampede at a theater during the premiere of 'Pushpa 2: The Rule,' which resulted in a woman's death.
On December 4, a woman lost her life while her son suffered severe injuries during the stampede at Sandhya Theatre during the premiere attended by Allu Arjun.
A police team apprehended the national award-winning actor at his residence in Jubilee Hills, shortly after he returned from Delhi, where he participated in the success celebration of 'Pushpa 2'.
However, the Telangana High Court granted interim bail to Allu Arjun on Friday, just moments after a city court placed him in judicial custody for 14 days.
The High Court approved interim bail for four weeks while reviewing the quash petition submitted by the actor. The court instructed him to provide a personal bond of Rs 50,000 to the Jail Superintendent.
The widely-recognized actor received this relief even as police were in the process of transferring him to Chanchalguda Jail from Nampally Criminal Court Complex.
It remained uncertain when the actor would be released that night or if he would have to wait until Saturday.
To obtain regular bail, Allu Arjun was instructed to reach out to Nampally Court.
The High Court initiated the hearing of the quash petition following a request made by Allu Arjun’s attorneys after his earlier arrest.
