Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Mumbai, March 1 (NationPress) Actress Rupali Ganguly has publicly expressed her appreciation for Indian diplomacy and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Over the weekend, she shared a photograph of herself proudly holding the Indian tri-colour on her X account, formerly known as Twitter.
In her post, she stated, “Mera Bharat Mahan. During these uncertain times, I genuinely feel fortunate to reside in India. A salute and heartfelt gratitude to our PM Narendra Modi ji, alongside deep appreciation for our Indian Army and defense forces, who allow us to sleep soundly each night. Thu Thu Thu… May our nation remain untouched by evil eyes.”
Ganguly's remarks come during a tumultuous period in the Middle East, where unrest escalated following Israel's pre-emptive actions against Iran. The region is enduring severe bombings, along with drone and missile attacks, after Israel's strikes resulted in the death of Iran's Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei. In retaliation, Iran has intensified its offensive against US air bases situated across Qatar, Kuwait, UAE, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan.
This situation brings us perilously close to a potential World War, the last occurrence of which was nearly eight decades ago. The situation is rapidly deteriorating, with UK military aircraft patrolling the skies of the Middle East as part of a defense exercise.
Previously, actress Esha Gupta, known for her roles in ‘Rustom’, ‘Jannat 2’, and ‘Baadshaho’, assured her followers of her safety through her Instagram Stories, expressing gratitude towards the Ministry of Defence in the UAE.
Additionally, actress Sonal Chauhan disclosed that she is currently stranded in Dubai due to suspended flight operations. In her social media update, she appealed to PM Narendra Modi ji, stating, “I find myself stranded in Dubai amidst the ongoing crisis. Flights have been canceled, leaving me without a clear path back to India. I seek the government's guidance and support for a safe return home.”
