Mumbai, Jan 19 (NationPress) The lawyer appointed by the state for the accused in the Saif Ali Khan stabbing incident stated that the assertions regarding the accused being a Bangladeshi national who entered India illegally are unfounded.
The legal representative clarified that while the accused is indeed a Bangladeshi national, he is not an illegal immigrant and possesses valid documentation. He also refuted the Mumbai police's claims that the accused moved to Mumbai six months ago, asserting instead that the accused has resided in Mumbai for the past 7-8 years.
This development adds another layer of complexity to an already convoluted case, with various discrepancies emerging from the statements of all parties involved.
Saif was attacked multiple times while attempting to defend against a burglar during the early hours of Thursday. The actor suffered six stab wounds, with two being particularly severe as they are located near his spine. The incident occurred at 2:15 am when the burglar reportedly broke into their home in Bandra, attacked their house help, and subsequently assaulted Saif when he intervened.
Saif was alerted by the noise in his son Jeh’s room. Upon entering, he found the intruder in a confrontation with their house help. In an effort to protect the house help, Saif bravely intervened with his bare hands to fend off the attacker.
