Saiyami first tackled the Ironman 70.3 in September 2024 and then again in July 2025, demonstrating remarkable discipline, endurance, and a genuine passion for fitness. This event, also referred to as the Half Ironman, is one of the most demanding endurance races.
The term 70.3 signifies the total distance (in miles) of the event, which includes 1.9 km of swimming, 90 km of cycling, and 21.1 km of running, all performed consecutively in a single day.
Saiyami shared with IANS: “I’m truly honored and excited to be the face of Ironman India. This journey embodies my beliefs in passion, consistency, and an unwavering spirit. Completing the Ironman 70.3 twice in such a short span was less about records and more about personal challenges.”
She added: “Every swim stroke, every uphill ride, and every step of the run underscored the immense potential of the human body and mind.”
For her, Ironman transcends being a mere race; it represents a mindset and a lifestyle.
“I have always relished breaking barriers, whether in sports or as an actress. I aspire to inspire more Indians, particularly women, to take up endurance sports. Seeing the rise in participation among Indians each year fills me with joy, and watching this community grow stronger is heartening. The joy, resilience, and self-belief that come with it are transformative,” she stated.
“Being the face of Ironman India feels like a moment of closure, and I am sincerely thankful to be part of a community that celebrates strength, determination, and perseverance,” Saiyami concluded.
