Mumbai, April 17 (NationPress) Actress Shweta Tripathi has shared her thoughts on a mindset that she believes should be embraced by more individuals, which is comfort. For her, it all begins with dressing for yourself rather than for others.
Shweta shared with IANS, “An underrated habit or mindset I think more people should adopt... Yes, comfort. You know how we often hear the phrase 'be yourself'? But what does it truly mean to be yourself? I believe understanding that concept is the initial step.
“This implies—if you feel good in what you’re wearing, then dress for yourself, not considering what someone’s aunt, grandma, or your Instagram followers might think. Wear what you desire. People will always have opinions, and that’s something you can’t change,” she elaborated.
Known for her role as Golu in the popular series “Mirzapur,” Shweta also revealed what her ideal day off entails.
“It really depends on my mood. For instance, if I’m heading to the Prithvi Theatre, I feel inspired to be culturally artistic. So, I might opt for mismatched attire, pairing a kurta with a belt and my dupatta. I enjoy wearing bindis and love accessorizing with my jewelry—a lot of jewelry. I even design a lot myself and collaborate with my designer friends for custom pieces.”
“So yes, a day off really varies based on how I feel. However, one thing I absolutely adore is lounging in my cotton night suits at night. That’s the best part of my day.
She also mentioned what her husband, rapper Slow Cheeta, thinks about her attire.
“In fact, Cheeta often remarks that when he sees me in those lovely, breathable cotton night suits, that’s when he truly sees his wife.”
The actress, recognized for her performances in “Mirzapur,” “Masaan,” “Raat Akeli Hai,” “Cargo,” and “Haramkhor,” announced her debut as a producer in March, revealing a women-led queer love story.
Her most recent appearance was in the film “Kanjoos Makhichoos,” directed by Vipul Mehta, which is derived from the renowned Gujarati play Sajan Re Jhooth Mat Bolo. The film features Kunal Khemu, Shweta Tripathi, Piyush Mishra, Alka Amin, Rajeev Gupta, and Raju Srivastava.
Regarding her contributions in the OTT arena, she was recently seen in the crime drama Kaalkoot, alongside Vijay Varma, Seema Biswas, Yashpal Sharma, Gopal Dutt, and Suzanna Mukherjee.
