Mumbai, Feb 4 (NationPress) Renowned playback singer Sonu Nigam, celebrated for his timeless hits such as ‘Main Agar Kahun’, ‘Ab Mujhe Raat Din’, and ‘Sandese Aate Hain’, is cautioning social media users to be wary of misinformation. He clarified that he is not active on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, and any posts attributed to him should be disregarded.

On Tuesday, he took to Instagram to expose an imposter account that was using his name to share misleading content. This account posted a photo featuring Sonu alongside the President of India, Droupadi Murmu.

Sonu remarked on the photo, “Isn’t this misleading? Why wouldn’t people not assume it’s the real me?”

He criticized the media, the local administration, and the government for failing to address the falsehoods propagated by this fraudulent account.

In his caption, he expressed, “I am not on Twitter or X. Can you imagine a single controversial post from this Sonu Nigam Singh could endanger my family? This imposter has been exploiting my name and credibility for no reason. The press and authorities are silent, waiting for a tragedy to offer condolences. Thank you.”

Previously, Sonu experienced a severe back spasm during a live performance. Despite his discomfort, he delivered an outstanding show, as he consistently does.

He later shared an Instagram video detailing his experience, stating, “One of the most challenging days of my life, but very rewarding. I was singing and moving, which caused a spasm, but I managed through it. I strive to meet the expectations of my audience. I’m pleased with how it turned out.”
