Mumbai, Aug 3 (NationPress) Music composer Tanishk Bagchi, who is reveling in the triumph of his composition, the title track of ‘Saiyaara’, has stated that he will not draw comparisons between singer Faheem Abdullah and the renowned Pakistani vocalists, Mustafa Zahid or Atif Aslam.
The title track of ‘Saiyaara’, performed by Faheem, has recently made history as the first Bollywood song to break into the Spotify global Top 5. In light of the song's success, many online users expressed their belief that Indian audiences may no longer yearn for voices like Mustafa Zahid's or Atif Aslam's, now that Faheem has emerged.
Tanishk shared his thoughts with IANS regarding the remarkable success of the music from ‘Saiyaara’, choosing not to compare Faheem's vocal talent with that of any Pakistani artists.
He remarked to IANS, “I would not draw comparisons between Faheem's voice and Mustafa Zahid or Atif. Faheem is our own. He is a uniquely talented artist who has developed his distinctive tone through dedication. When someone works hard, their quality remains steady. His singing style is consistent; he maintains a singular tone throughout. I believe his tone is something he has genuinely inherited.”
He further praised Faheem's fellow singer and composer Arsalan Nizami, saying, “You have yet to hear Arsalan. He is akin to Faheem and possesses a remarkable voice. They both showcase immense talent and compose their own music. Initially, Arsalan composed ‘Saiyaara’. I recognized its potential, as I have an instinct for identifying hit songs. I then arranged it to align with my vision, ensuring that our collaboration embodied purity.”
“Whether it’s a single or part of a film, the song will eventually be released. That was my aspiration. Arsalan, Faheem, and Junaid each have their own unique sound. They bear fresh voices reminiscent of Kumar Sanu or Udit Narayan,” he concluded.
